A new beginning
I just bought my first car and yes it's a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 Convertible. The interior is blue and the soft top is a very dark blue as well. It has a 2.8L V26 engine which is good. I bought it for $200 and I'm looking forward to restoring it. I am a full time student and a part time job. It is going to take a while but the best thing about it is I am training to be and Automotive Mechanic so I get the joy of doing it myself. It is going to be a lot of work to bring this amazing car back to life. In the Mechanics area it runs fairly well it has been sitting for a couple years and I just grabbed a 10 day permit to get it moving a bit before I do a tune up just to get all the old gas out and get any crap off the engine and into the oil to be drained. After that I have to totally drain all fluids. There's only one major problem with the car and that's a coolant issue. It overheats quite quickly I've only been driving to and from school so it only gets up half way. I don't know if it's just the head gasket, a cracked head, a blocked passage, a bad rad, or (hopefully not) a cracked block. Anyways I don't have the book so if anyone has a manual or a step by step instruction manual on the removal and installation of a head gasket and/or the head itself it would be greatly appreciated.

I am at a loss Can somebody help!??
Ok in my long going effort to restore my Humminbird, I have come too a sink hole in my jorney. Obviously most dealerships dont carry anything for an 18 year old car, so finding parts is becomimg harder and harder...*sigh*
If there are any of yall out there that know where to find parts or no anywhere to buy the whole car as a parts car somebody please tell me!
Thanks
Kristin!!
