This how-to shows you how to paint the black plastic mesh under the cowling at the base of the windshied. It is a subtle effect, but then again, it is all about the details, right?
- Phillips screwdriver
- Ratchet Set
- Spray Paint (Color of your choosing)
Step 1
Remove the windshield wipers. Lift up the wipers and use an old screwdriver to slide out the tab that is located near the spring loaded hinge on the wiper arm. Then pull on the arm with a rocking motion and they should come off.
Step 2
Remove the cowl by taking out the three bolts under the cowl and the 2 screws on top of the cowl. Make sure to remove the windshield washer hose from the underside of the cowl.
Step 3
Take off the black plastic mesh off the underside of the cowl.
Step 4
Clean the mesh with water and dry it completely.
Step 5
Spray the mesh with 3 or 4 light coats of paint.
