How To Do It

Step 1

The dash material is just a hard plastic covered with foam padding and a vinyl covering on top of that. First mark the center of the area that you wish to place the gauge.

Step 2

Measure the diameter of the BACK of the gauge, so that it will sit inside the hole with the lip holding it from falling in.

Step 3

Carefully, but with a high-speed drill so that it cuts through the vinyl, instead of ripping or pulling it, cut a hole straight into the dash. Then you will want to ream it out with the razor so that it is smooth.

Step 4

Follow the instructions included with your gauge to get it properly wired up.

Step 5

Place the rubber band around the gauge and insert into the dash hole.

Step 6

To finish up, simply apply a small amount of shoe polish to remove any scratches from the dash that may have occurred.
