If you want a Z24 hood on your non-Z Cavalier, this is a fairly easy swap. If you use a hood from the same phase (88-90, or 91-94), it will be a direct bolt on. If you can't find a hood from the same phase as your car, a 1st phase 88-90 Hood will fit on a 2nd phase 91-94.

The only difference between the Phase 1 and the Phase 2 hoods is the latch. All you need to do is drill out the factory pre marked holes on the 1st phase hood. Take off the top style latch and replace it with your 2nd phase hood piece for the bottom style latch to hook to. when you remove the piece off your 2nd phase hood only remove the bolts 1/2 way. pound on the heads with a hammer to break loose the rear threaded anchors. Be careful becaue they can fall down into the hood and are needed for the new holes you drilled on your 1st phase hood. this is the directionsto put a 1st phase 0n a 2nd phase. To do it the other way around pretty much explaines itself.
