Any pictures would be helpful too. Not that Scott's wasn't useful, but it does have a lot of wires and hoses blocking the view. Mostly interesting in what the canister looks like and how it hooks up.

Sweet! That's a great pic, thanks! I reuse that check valve looking thing tho, right? Otherwise I'd have 3 ports on that canister and only 2 hoses to hook up.

Bringing this post back because I want to get my CCP working properly. I remember six_shooter posting that you need to drill the throttle body and add ports to get the proper vacuum for the line from the CCP. I've been searching and searching for any pictures of this, but I can't find any. Anyone have some pics of how they hooked theirs up?
The line on mine currently T's off the breather tube that goes to the intake. I worry that the gas fumes may be inadvertently sucked into the crankcase rather than into the intake manifold. See pic of how mines hooked up now.

Your throttle body looks nothing like my 3400 one. What year engine is it and what year car? Mine was from an 04 grand am. Mine was exactly the same as the 2.8 just bigger and had different throttle cable ends. I was able to use all the old lines for mine. I have a 3.5l TB to put on mine. I believe it is the same setup too but yours looks total different.

Got any pics of yours?
I think mine came off an alero. It's a pretty much the standard 3400 throttle body I think. I see them all over the place at the junkyard.

Never mind, I was wrong. You just ran your lines goofy compared to mine. I also do not have have a charcoal canister/ evap, or an egr valve as I deleted them and had superdave tune them out. Here are the cleanest pictures I have of my car after I installed the engine.
As you can see in the picture mine has a plastic T that goes into the Intake where the TB attaches. It the connects to the front and rear valve cover.

I can get a new picture tomorrow. That picture doesn't show the correct T adapter. I believe the one on my car has and extra port and connects to both valve covers. I am 3 hours away from my house. So, I really am not 100% sure.

Also, I do not think it really matters where you connect it. As long as it is as close to the stock location as possible should be best. I would connect it to the intake manifold if it was me, Or to the T line on the intake. I didn't see a purpose in keeping that canister as I have yet to read it impact the engine in negative way and it takes up a lot of room.

I tried connecting it to the intake manifold already. It worked fine I think, but I was concerned that the manifold had too great of a vacuum and would suck too much air from the gas tank, or the canister, and make the engine run funny (as if it had a vacuum leak).
The canister doesn't help the engine run any better or give it performance. It's just there to get the gas fumes out of the tank and burn them instead of letting it all evaporate away.

Oh, I never knew what that thing really did. That could explain why my car use to suck a lot of gas in when I would remove the gas cap to fill it up and now after my swap it doesn't. I would just try it and if it doesn't work change it. I do not see that little pump pulling enough pressure to cause a negative effect in the gas tank. Gas tank is a little huge for a small line to create that much vacuum it hurts something.

Just thought of an idea for you if you are worried about creating to much vacuum of the intake. You can use a larger diameter hose or a tiny diameter hose to the canister. Doing either one will limit the amount of vacuum pressure. When I fist did my swap I ran like half in vacuum line to everything and my car would not run right to save my life. I could not figure out why. Then I switch to 1/4 in line and it ran perfectly. So just running larger line to the one spot should create less vacuum in that one line without hurting the engine while still giving you enough vacuum. Just an idea, may or may not make a difference.
