if your splitting the case you dont have to mess with the chip because your changing the vss output signal to yours its one or the other get the chip or complete ecm from a 93-94 or split the case not both
assuming yours is electronic speedometer and not cable driven _________________

| Right... so I'm selling my 93 trans to a guy with 91. I know that the VSS and clutch slave cylinder are different, what needs to be done to make this work? Is it possible to connect the 91 master cylinder to a 93 internal slave or will he have to change to the 93 style master? As for the VSS, are the 93 and 91 interchangeable? |

okay so I am going to buy an '88 cav, and I also have my 94, what I am asking, is I want to swap the 5 speed out of the 94 into the 88, I was looking at the swap thread and I have a question.
What all do I have to swap from the 94 into the 88? _________________

*
o Required
+ Manual Transmission (Getrag or NVG 5 speed)
+ Manual Shifter Assembly
+ Shift Cables
+ Manual Transmission Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
+ Neutral Safety Switch (NSS)
+ Half Shafts
+ Intermediate Shaft and Mount
+ Transmission Mounts for your Manual Transmission
+ Clutch Pedal
+ Clutch Linkage Specific to your Transmission
+ Flywheel and Mounting Hardware
+ Clutch Pressure Plate, Friction Disk and Thrust Bearing
+ Two 4" long Bolts With the Same Thread as the Trans Mount Bolts (M12 for mine)
+ Dry Molly Lubricant
o Optional
+ Manual Computer (more of an option if the trans is the same year as your car, less if not)
# Special Note on Computer:
When trying to use a 91 electronic VSS you must have a ECM from the same year and engine. Otherwise the speedo WILL NOT WORK.
+ Manual Wiring Harness ----- (I explain how and where to splice and dice)
+ Manual Radiator ----------- (you can plug the trans coolant lines on the auto one)
+ Manual Center Console ----- (I'm fibre-glassing the auto one to perfection)
+ Manual Instrument Cluster - (many RS's came with a tachometer or get an aftermarket one)
