Well just as you would suspect the ignition module and coils all tested just fine

So let's review I have fire, I have fuel, I have a verified "good" ignition module and all three coils.

I still have a car the turns over fires .... kills .. as if my fuel injectors are either not supplying or supplying at the right time.

What's next??? .............. while I go put things back together.

The entire fuel system seems to be compromised> I finally resort to shooting some starting fluid into the throttle body and got more turn over, so I said screw it, maybe I don't have as much fuel pressure as I thought. I definitely have fuel pump groan at "key on". So I decided to go ahead and change the filter, ( I don't think I'll ever like quick release hook-ups) tank side of the filter was very rusty. So now I'm wondering if the pump is clogged and all of the metal fuel lines are internally constricted. (if you're wondering I typically run only Mobil. sometimes Shell Gas) I think this is just more effect of this car sitting stagnant for a couple of years.

The new filter made a minimal but noticeable difference.

If I key on and off several times to try and build up pump pressure it almost tries to start, but still to no avail.

How difficult is it to put in a new pump? and should this be where I'm headed next?

Or Do I just bite the bullet and have it towed in?

Opinions?

Thanks
Dan

hook up a fuel pressure guage to check your fuel pressure first the fuel pump is in the tank and is installed in the sending unit u said the car sat for awhile is the gas any good> it might be stale in wich case the tank will have to be drained and washed out with fresh gas then refilled with fresh gas if you put good gas in with stale gas it will all be stale

ok why did nobody tell me that one of the nuances of this particular engine was that it is prone to faulty fuel injectors???

One bad injector, for some reason knock out both banks.
