Did a little bit more work today. I am in the process of making my own door caps...so I have finally pulled the mold today and put it on the car to see about the lining up issues. Did that and then made a line on the sides top and bottom and then I grinded them down. I will be countersinking some screws in it tommorrow and then laying some filler over the whole deal. Then I will be laying some kitty hair and molding them into the door!!!

NO!!!! DO IT YOURSELF!!!! It's not really that hard its just a time process and alot of sanding. I layered it 10X and it's pretty tough....hopefully I'll have some time to start on the next side. That way I can let it sit and cure while I'm molding everything else in.
Oh and a big THANKS to TIM!!!

use 3m pannel bond, mine have been on for 2 summers now with no problems, and it sands off so easy, the only downside is the 24 hour cure time tho

Hmmmm....never heard of it. I was going to use some 3M double sided tape on the whole sides of it, and stick it on there. Then I was going to screw them in about 3 screws along the top and 2 on the top for the front. Now the Door Caps I was going to reinforce that backing with more Fiberglass then I was going to lay some screws in that also. Then I was going to lay some more fiberglass mat, sand, kitty hair, sand, and then some body filler, sand, then primer hopefully. It doesn't sound alot but there is tons of hard labor involved.
I guess I'm going to have to do some research on that stuff!!! I have more than enough time so the 24 hr curing wouldn't be a problem.

I know, I know....That trash isn't there now. When I'm working on my car I just throw stuff around untill its time to quit. Then I just pick everything up. We've been having some pretty rough storms around here. Alot of wind involved and it throws tree branches all over the place. But as soon as I get done with the crap I will be back on the Z. After all it is the weekend!!!
but yeah i would like to see more photos please!

exactly my thoughts. dont bond anything on with just glass. use a panel bonding adhesive like stillacav said. 3M/duramix/ norton and a couple others make a panel bonding adhesive specificallly for fiberglass/steel. if u use that u wont even need to mess with any glass really
