does anyone know how to find lobe seperation or overlap on a cam from other specs?

duration at .050"- 214 intake, 224 exhaust
adv. duration- 280 intake, 290 exhaust
lift- intake .433, exhaust .466
lobe center- intake 107, exhaust 117

yeah.. it is syn. with 1.6:1 rockers, the lift bumps up to .498

pretty much impossible from those specs... but i can tell you that it's most likely between 108 and 110 LSA and probably has a decent ammount of overlap. Looks like a N/A cam

well if it had 110LSA it would have -1 overlap
(total duration)/4 - LSA * 2 = overlap (from what I recall)

so thats

214+224 / 4 = 109.5 - 110= -0.5 * 2 = -1

or if you use adv. duration youd have 65 deg overlap

I believe your supposed to use the adv duration with that formula

So I was trying to say IF the LSA is indeed 110, then the overlap would be 65. Def a N/A cam.

I just did some googling. Looks like the LSA is the intake + exhaust angle / 2

So youd have 107+117 / 2 = 112

So overlap would be a bit less than I calculated earlier.

i heard that seperation for turbo cams was supposed to be between 112-114 ? is that right? if so.. this cam should be alright..?

Ya, my builder and I just finished talking about just this not long ago. He said 114-115.

as for lift, just run whatever you can without worrying about coil bind etc. The air will get in there.
