Hey guyz, after a bit of research and a lucky find I am well on the way to having a custom rear strut tower bar. A local shop had a buncha strut tower bars layin around so I pieced togeather some parts that will work with minor modification. I took the strut plates from a civic front bar. I couldnt use the bar because it was REALLY short. So I then found a bar for a 95-97 sunfire. The Sunfire plates were huge and there was no way they would work. Here is the bar when I got it pieced togeather:

Then I chopped the mounts off and relocated them. I also had to drill new holes on the plate closer togeather. The inner half-circle is the perfect shape tho. Here is how it sites now:

This weekend I am going to have a friend TIG weld it all togeather, then a quick coat of paint and were good to go! Ill post pix of the finished product.

Looks pretty nice, do you think it's gonna make a big difference in how the car handles?

That looks really awesome man! I was starting to work on the same idea but not as creative as yours. I was going to cut up the front factory strut brace and see what I can come up with.
Nice work, can't wait to see it painted!

Looks very good. I was looking into this but after some research I came to the conclusion that it does very little to nothing to improve handling.

Whelp, I got it all welded togeather today. It looks really good. It makes a slight difference but not a huge difference. If anything it eliminated a few squeeks. It looks really good too!
