Greetings guys.

My 1987 Z24 fuel pump does not prime when turning on the ignition. I can crank on the starter for 10-15 seconds then the fuel pump comes on allowing the car to start.

Can you guys provide me with some good troubleshooting tips, i.e. schematics, wires to check, etc.

Thanks in advance...

Check and clean the ground. It's under the carpet on the driver's side floor.

has anyone ever relocated that ground just a thought cuz old cars at one time or another will leak from somewhere i was just thinking

to put it where its almost impossible for it to touch water n rust like behind the rear door panels or under the seat the rear seat

would this be a good idea?

I cleaned mine with sandpaper and the hole it goes in. I should be good with that, I have no leaks in the interior though.

I could see the concern if someone did.
