i'm lookin at turbo rebuild kits for my t25 and i've noticed a few different things.....
some of them have a carbon thrust bearing, and some have a 360 degree thrust bearing.....
whats the difference? and which is better?

If you haven't already you should disassemble your turbo and measure the shaft and bore diameter, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be within .003 total or just for the shaft. If the tolerance is excessive you will run into problems. I failed to do this on a rebuild and ran into problems with oil flow backing up into the turbo and over flowing into the turbine housing because the excessive clearance allowed oil to flow past the bearings faster than it could drain out at moderate to high rpm.

I ended up having to purchase a new center section.

ok about half way down the paidg is a diagram for the vacum line routing it's kinda generic but that helped me in placing my lines.

i have gotten the turbo down to the 3 main pieces....exhaust housing, inlet housing and the center piece.....
but i haven't gone any farther because i'm back at school and i dont have a rebuild kit yet
but i'll check the tolerances then and make sure everything is good to go
thanks for that link too
