My little brother is a bad influence. I said I was done working on the car until I get back from Tasmania and then as soon as I get home, I start this..... oh well, it is nice.
I went to the junkyard and got a clock from a 3rd gen accord. I got it all hooked up and mounted in my dash. It works great and now I dont have to rely on my stereo's shitty clock. It looks like it belongs there, I just wish that my dash wasn't ripped. (you will see in the pictures).
I also have another project that I hope to finish today, so I will let you guys know when I get it done.
Enjoy and comments are welcome!

Hm.. It kind of looks like you just stuffed it in there. Probably will be better if you put it in the dash or build somthing around it so it looks like it's supposed to be there.

I’ve always wanted to do this, either with an analog clock or a digital one, it’d look a lot better then always having to press a button to look at the time on the radio (yes, I’m THAT lazy.) It does look alright but yeah, I would build it into the dash somewhere to give it a more “factory” look. Good job on getting it done though.

Yeah, I will have to get better pics of it. I have 2 plexy-glass cavers, one in the front and one on the side to cover where there are gaps. I couldn't think of any better place to locate it inside the dash, so that place works fine for me.

Here is my other project that is almost finished. I just need to get one panel that I am missing. All of the lights work with the stock light switch on the dash.

| I like the overhead console, but i still like the simplicity of it not being there. Not diggin the clock too well, i like the clock in the cd player myself.

Yeah, it is out of a mid 90's Blazer. There was about 2 hours of trimming to get it to fit the Cavalier roof. I had to pull off the carpet and trim the edges to match. It wasn't too bad. I took a bunch of pics so I can write a how-to if there is any interest. I put it in mostly for the better lights and for a place to store some more stuff.

My next goal is to get the air temp/compass thing and see if I can hook it up. I found the schematics that I need. I just hope it will work!

I think I'd like to get a gauge-like analoge clock and mount that in my dash. Toss in a few guages in a row and you'll have a custom yet flowing set of gaugey things. lol.
Nice work Brad. Not much for digital clocks for looks, but it's functional. The overhead console is something I've been interested in doing forever, but my current Cav has a sunroof. No go. lol.

I was going to suggest combining yoru projects and putting the clock in teh overhead console, where the compas deal goes....
