We have to remember moon was putting his personal money to keep the site running and was taking the lost for use so the new owners are atleast trying to get there money back. As long as the site keeps running we have to let them put the ads and maybe there are companys we don't even know of that have cavalier parts and now will find them with there ads

I completely agree with that. I think if the owners could direct more of the adds toward companies that actually relate to our cars, life might be better.

I've been checking out some of the adds. Found this one:

$69 Chevy CAVALIER Chip
60 Horsepower Increase 7 MPG Boost Custom ECU Chip Easy Installation

Sounds legit

If they took the time to do this, i wouldn't bitch. But ya know, so far the majority of the ads are for stuff completely unrelated to J-bodies, and THAT's what I have a problem with.

This has been fixed. So when you log into the forum you will not see the ads. Only the one at the very bottom.

If you are not logged into the registry then you will see the ones on the homepage.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Dwayn

Thanks for all of your hard work, Jason. I'm glad you're finally getting a break from it all, but I will miss the way you ran things =). And thanks again for the college advice you gave me years ago. You're definitely one of a kind.

I will take ads over the site and forum being gone completely. The owner of the bstuff forums refused to accept help in keeping the site active and current, and now it's completely gone. Years worth of information wiped away.

Anyway.. Welcome Dwayn! Thanks for helping to take care of the site. I hope you learn from our members what the site has been like, and build upon what we've come to expect from the way Jason designed it. One of my favorite things about this site is it's uniqueness and well thought out design. And Jason's April Fools jokes as well =).

Best of luck to you, Jason and Ami. Hopefully one of these days I'll actually make it to a Bash to meet you and everyone else.

I dont care about the ads, i dont hav to look @ em if i dont want to. I've been having different issues since the change. I have to log in everytime, even tho i check the box to stay logged in, and then if i try to post a reply, after i type in my reply it sends me to the login page even tho it says im logged in on the "post a reply" page. Then i have to log in again, go back to the post reply page, cut what i wrote, go forward to the reply page and paste it and hope it doesnt send me back to the login page again, witch it sometimes does. its really kind of a pain in the ass. And the site seems to run alot slower than it used to. Welcome Dwayne, hopefully u can get the bugs ironed out.
