Blue loctite would still let them come loose later, just don't use red

Red works fine too.. I use it on everything and have never had a problem getting out the LIM bolts.

Another question

would the fel pro ms98004t kit fit a 95 non-roller no push rod guide 3100 motor? Everywhere I look it says it would (summit and such places), but when i googled it

some guy on a forum said this

"Go with the MS98004T Fel-pro if you have the roller-pivot rockers (late 95-on Vin-M). It doesn't fit the older ball-and-socket rocker engine regardless of what Rock-Auto's website says. It's the new design metal framed gasket, and a vast improvement over the junk OEM plastic framed gasket (the MS90562 is plastic framed too). If you have the ball and socket engine (93-early 96), your only choice is the MS95536 and separate VS50442R valve cover gaskets."

here's a link with a picture of it (it's the new metal type)

no one?

in case i didn't specify, the ms9800t kit is the metal gaskets, basically wondering if it will work on the earlier 3100 without roller rockers

if you have a picture of a late 90's 3100/3400 with the LIM off, you mind linking me?

thanks!

They will probly work fine, however, the roller pivot rocker 3100 motor uses pushtod guides in the actual gaskets. You may need to trim those to work with your steel pushrod guides.

I didnt grab any pics when I had my motor apart last.

yeah mine didn't have the pushrod guides, having non-roller rockers

we'll see how this works, but i test fitted one (without putting the pushrods back on) and it seems fine
