Why after all of the work you put in this car?

If you don't want to say, that's ok.

couple months ago, it wouldnt go into 2nd gear. I let the car sit for 2 months trying to regain my patience with it. at the time, the car would go forward in drive (1st), and reverse just fine

so the other day, I fully charged the battery (keeping a positive mindset......), and went to run it into the garage

upon trying to reverse, stalled. NEVER done this before. I kept my cool and restarted the car attempting it about 10 more times, no luck

I HATE pushing this car, its not nearly as light as you would think. I've simply had it with the POS.

and its not only the trans that needs work. all the paint is fucked, the front windshield is cracked, it would need alignment, has no plates still, and theres more. really the reasons are only for me to gauge if its worth the hassle, so I dont need any attempt to cheer me up. I've already been through that with this car, More than once

there you have it, I tried alot more than most people would I think

sorry but its a lost cause at this point. I loved this car and its not loving me back

I hear ya scott. No cheering up will be attempted here. Sometimes you just want to be angry and attempts at cheering up just piss you off more. Just throw a cover over it for a few months and see how you feel about the car later on.

I've thought it over, and I'm parting out the car

as soon as I can get someone to help me push it into the garage, everything is coming off it. body will go to the yard, unless if someone wants to buy it I would rather see it go to someone that feels like dealing with it. but the shell will be pretty bare so I doubt that will happen

I should have got a better car to start with, this was all my choice and/or fault. I could have easily spent just a couple hundred more, and had a couple hundred less headaches. what was I thinking?

Glad to see you're parting it out. I hate to see all those good parts you put time into making look (and in some cases, work) better go to waste.

Stalling on shifting into reverse only or any gear? It could possibly be the lockup solenoid in which case unplugging the transmission harness should solve that problem and at least allow you to put the car in gear without stalling the engine.
