Alright I looked at my mounts this weekend and 2 out of 3 are shot! (I wondered were that squeaking was coming from)

So any progress on this?
I am now in for a set as soon as they are ready.

Woooohoooo, the metal is ready, Im gonna start on the jig, i had nothing to do for a week, and now that im busy I get the material, lol. I only have enough poly for 1 set, so I can test it out make sure it works good. The mount should be ready and dry by wenesday. Im gonna try them in my car first and then start pouring the rest. Ill have lots of pics this week.

They will be painted black, and the poly is a clear/amber color. Dye is a available and I can paint them a different color per request. $250 is the price, plus $15 if you want it dyed a specific color.

Be sure to place it somewhere really warm to cure, it speeds it up a lot. Mine took a long time to get full hardness longer than the poly said it would since it was in my cold garage. And figure out some good way to seal it up, that stuff likes to push it's way through tape even...

Ya I know its a litle bit complicated, Im making the molds with bondo. And they are gonna dry on top of my water heater, (perfect temp) to cure at 110F I just dont like the fact that the fumes are a bit toxic. Im using shilac on the metal, but im gonna weld in some tabs just to give the poly something more to grip to.

Yes do weld tabs for it to grip. If it's a part that needs the bolt sleeves and poly not to walk out then you need tabs.

You need tabs on the bolt sleeves too if allowing it to slide on there is bad.

Fumes, eh, I didn't smell any LOL. I had the door shut as it was cold out... My poor body LOL. The cured poly has a sweet smell to it though.

Do you guys think the brace up top is needed? I want to make sure they are strong. All fab work will finish tomorow. 6 rear mounts are done, and all the inserts. Sorry for not updating erveryone, I been extremely busy. I bought a 1998 GTP, so I had to do work to it to safety. Ill post some more pics tomorrow.

It would cost roughly $150 for all 3 mounts. That way I can copy the ones Im making.

$250 is the roughly $150 that was discussed plus $15 if you want them a specific color.
