one of the rings has a groove on the bottom of it. is that the top ring or middle ring? it doesnt mention anything in the instructions about that..

I see which ones are for the oil just not sure about this one

The compression ring and the oil rings were all labled in my kit, or i think they were....

The top and second rings are different thicknesses, so they are not marked in that way. They are marked with the letter 'N', which must face up when the ring is installed. The grooved ring is the 2nd ring and the groove faces down. You will need to file fit the rings.
