Cool stuff. Hope it holds when you're boosting. If you hear a big boom you'll know what it was!! j/k. hehe. The hoses might pop off if anything.

Yuk it's bright red. Oh wait your car is red too so no biggie! haha. It would look terrible in my blue car.. but that's what black spray paint is for!

I could probably use one. My intake ports in the head are super clean but the runners are not. And when I take off my TB there is a pool of oil that pours out!! lol 3500 plenum likes to collect it at the bottom of the TB neck there.

the hoses fit really good on this one. I'm using a plastic barb fitting at the 90* fitting from the PCV to the hose

fits tight over the plenum plastic line.. didnt even use a clamp there since it would prolly crack the line LOL. the can itself has lips on the fittings so its good there too

awhile back I had a cheaper can and half assed the fittings and ya they do blow off really easy

I will prolly swap the hoses for black ones too eventually..

Good deal. Yeah I was gonna suggest black hoses, but with the clear you can see on the return side if any oil is getting by the can.

How is it constructed inside? The drain on the bottom, did you take it off and look inside? To catch the oil vapor it needs to have some mesh inside not just be an overflow tank.

I wondered about top end lubrication and searching around some people say a catch can is bad since it reduces that, but I wonder if it reduces it totally where it's non-existent, or just reduces it enough so you aren't sucking in tons of oil but still get enough to keep things from wearing.

ya exactly. my injectors suffered from the runner oil very badly Shooting

I dont think oil vapors are needed at all for the top end. back in the day they used to just run those hoses to the ground

I didnt take a look inside it

How often does the catchcan usually fill up? The more boost the faster it fills?

I'll let you know soon. I know a few people with them and they can fill up fairly fast. its suprising how much oil can get past the PCV even when its new

I had one back around the '06 bash and a good inch or two was in it just from the trip there

Is there any way to put a filter on it and recycle the oil back into the engine so you don't have to keep on "losing" oil?

I guess you could put a drain at the bottom of the can going into the oil pan just like a turbo drain, not worth the extra work IMO tho.

You'd rather check your oil every time u go for a drive?

Sounds kinda reckless not to put a drain in. Especially with a turbo motor.

yea Id tap and put in a drain to the oil pan id feel alot safer that way. Who wants to go on long trips and pull over every so often to check oil or check oil every time you go somewhere. Make a drain save your self the worry of screwing up your engine.
