Okay my friend Sylvain sent me a link and I just ordered a set of rear quarter glass rubber seals.

I have not received them yet so I cannot comment but took a chance. I have one that is bad and i have one that is missing lol.

$49.00 ($120 from a GM dealer if they even have any and they don't make aftermarket for these as far as I know) for a set of TWO, now I just need the proper 3M adhesive for these which is pictured below that I saved from another thread we had.

If you need any he has a few left so grab them while they are there. I am shocked! FREE SHIPPING TOO.

The seller has great feedback. http://www.ebay.com/itm/200787030504?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_824wt_952

Sylvain emailed back and this was his answer.

I checked both 1988-1994 rubber seal weatherstrip on the convertible models and the part number is the same as 1988-1994

FYI, the dudes have a full set of the vert top rubber. Add that too the window seals from Danno, and you may be able to keep water out of these cars for once.

Those seals on mine are still like new. They were done when I replaced my top. I also replaced the motor for the top, the hydraulics, everything.
I $pent $1,200 on my top ... in pa$t better day$. I got the car for next to nothing BECAUSE the top was shredded so it was okay and I have no rust, any car with no rust is worth spending money on.

Replaced the interior carpet too as mine smelled like damp old gym socks. It was horrid and I couldn't get rid of it. I peeled out the carpet and threw in a new one after scrubbing out the floor with dish soap. NO RUST again. LUCK. I was half expecting a rusted floor panel or something, nope still looked factory.

My interior doesn't leak at all ... my trunk leaks when it monsoons only, regular rain no. Those seals are in new shape also and leak in the same place on both sides. ONLY when it is a very very heavy rain.

I keep two plastic shopping bags one behind each tail light in the trunk where it leaks on each side. I keep a towel on that to soak up any drippings. i almost never have those wet, ONLY when it monsoons and I park in a garage overnight.

My car came from down south and when I got it there was actually slimy water in the spare tire wheel wheel. I had to re-grease the jack and clean the spare tire.

No rust thankfully.

Well guys I hit a snag already and they aren;t even here yet. made a WTB post in the buy forum.

I need the metal channel these rubber seals go in on my driver side only.

If anyone has one sell me one lol. Or else I am only repairing ONE side of my vert ... the passenger side one pictured peeled right off as the old adhesive was past it and not even holding it any longer.

The good news is the rubber slides right out of the channel and you do not need glue .... so when these come just clean up the old channel and slide in a new one.

I think my face expresses my sadness perfectly. In the bottom photo you can see my split broken rubber seal for the passenger side so at least I can repair ONE side. The driver side is gone completely and lost long ago before I owned the car. No way to track down the missing metal piece.

I have to find one or make on somehow.

Mine came in and they are very good, test fit it in the car and all fit well. It even has the same little bevel to allow it to slip into the lower seal in the body of the car.

here is a picture ... it sticks out a little on the bottom but appears to be made like that. It "looks" too long but isn't, my damaged one had part of the bottom gone so I have no idea if this is exactly the same or not but it works well seriously. I tested it.

My problem is that my metal part has a spot of rust under there and the seal isn't in there tight enough and part of the metal lip was bent or dented by a previous owner. maybe they hit it with something and it made a dent so now it won't hold.

I may have to use a slight small bead of window adhesive to hold it in more tightly which I do not want to do because of the difficulty to pull it out should it need changing again later.

I wanted to use hot glue since it would be very easy to heat up the metal later and slide out the rubber but it will not stay hot enough to get the entire thing in the slot before it glues in.

I'll come up with something.

The bottom half had a rust spot so I am going to sand it and paint it which will make it even looser by default but I have to I think. I may decide to leave the rust spot there as the metal piece is very good enough to apply back on the window. I may sand too much of the slot away and weaken the metal piece. I may just have to use it as is and hope for the best. Hopefully it lasts another 20 years lol.

Job done .... until I get my metal piece for the driver side. Side note the passenger side if you flip it fits the driver side as well so you can use one on either and it doesn't matter.

I glued in the metal piece first, the rubber seal slid in easily but would not sit in there tight enough probably due to the rusty bit at one end of the track. It wasn't too rusted to use so I used it anyway.

I then put a bead of sealant in the track for the rubber seal and glued the rubber seal in. I didn't want to but I had to. I let it set and dry and now everything works perfectly. Tried it out up and down several times.

They fit well enough and seal well. Passenger front window went up and down where it should over the seal also. Everything is good so no worries for yours to come in.

Now I just wait for the driver side metal piece from my friend Sylvain and this will finally be done for me. Yay!!

My driver side metal channel fell through .... thank for my friend Sylvain looking at a junkyard and finding one too rusted to use.

The part I need is the one here for part number 20.
