damn ok, anyone know a company that makes a short throw shifter for a 2nd gen cavy? if not ill just cut and make my own shaft i hate how tall the factory shifters are in cavys

cutting is the only way as far as i know... but i have been out of the loop for a while....there is a how to on here somewhere

alrite because i scrapped my built 2.4 ld9 2000 z24 and its still sittin in the yard un touched i was hopin some parts may be usefull but i gues not

Just cut and weld yours. If you can't weld offer a garage $20 and I am sure they will do it for you. It will take the 5 mins. I would suggest welding threaded rod on it so you can use aftermarket shifter nobs.

the JBP one is just a cut down stock unit, the same thing you can do with an angle grinder/cutting disk in 5 minutes.

Wrong. It's 0.1" longer than stock, and shortens the throw by 0.125". Fuckin JBP sucks.

shit mine looks like hell when i take the boot off, I will eventually smooth it out and paint rebuilt and all that good stuff

just make shure your welds dont break it sucked when mine did had to drive in 2nd gear for 10 miles
