Well, I took her out to the park yesterday. She behaved well: she trembles a bit too much at idle and sometimes seems to want to accelerate while I'm braking, but other than that she was fine. I took the roof down manually, since the pump is dead, and discovered I could take it back up by myself without too many problems - which is nice. Gas is now a euro sixty a liter (over nine dollars a gallon) so I won't be driving her too often, but it was certainly nice to take her out.
Sorry that the background in my pictures never changes, I just really like that park. Next to the Cavalier is my friend Phil's Audi A3.
Enjoy!

Does your pump have fluid in it? I thought mine was dead for over a year and then pulling a homer simpson "DOH!" I checked the fluid and it was bone dry. It's worked perfectly ever since then.

Thanks! What do you mean by "the front driving lights?"

To make a long story short: the pump died one day on the side of the highway. The roof was blocked down; nothing could be done. Following the advice of some fellow members of V6Z24 (it might even have been you, I can't recall) I unhooked the lines leading to the pump - which created a vile ejaculation of stinking, olive-colored oil that spilled across the area behind my rear seats and in the back of the trunk - and raised the roof manually with my father, who couldn't help muttering some terrible words about the quality of my poor car.
The roof was "fixed" for 2000 dollars when I asked a garage to replace the convertible cover.
It worked a grand total of three times.
Then it died, and the roof stayed up for a few months, until I recently realized that with a little force I could successfully lower and raise the top.
It is what I will continue doing until I find the funds to fix it - and, incidentally, when I figure out just what the hell I'm going to do with the car when I move to Florida!
And sorry, that wasn't such a short story after all.

Also, your car looks great as usual . |
You're absolutely right, they are euro-spec Beretta mirrors. When the car was brought here ten years ago, the inspection had us change them.
And thanks

My mother was in a head on collision with the car about eight years ago
It was fixed, but not correctly, and I don't have the stones to mess around with adjusting my lights, since I abide by the "if it's not broken don't fix" rule.
The day I entirely fix up the car - suspension, roof, brakes, engine, and sound system - the lights will be adjusted.

What's so different about the mirrors that they have to change them? The breakaway function?
They look fine, I'm just curious lol.

You're right again. The mirrors have to be able to fold towards the car.

its pretty damn good looking considering you cant get parts for it up there very easily. My advice is bring that thing with you, you'll be in heaven with all the parts available and cheap mechainic service (semi-cheap at least lol)

I guess the main question I'm asking myself is, how much more would I like an 89 CAMARO? The V8, rear wheel drive? I mean, how much am I attached to the looks of my car, which to be honest are one of the main reasons I keep it at all?
