I decided to paint it black since I didn't have anything better to do I didn't like the brown color, so I went to O'Reilly's (use to be Checker) and bought some low gloss engine paint. I even painted top of my engine too. I had a hard time with masking off around coolant tank, but its good enough for me. It looks better in real life than in the pictures.

It's too bad I had to put on my old intake back on, the chrome one didn't have a connection for the hose on my engine, it made my car idle really bad.

I'm waiting on new wheels. I going to post them on this thread when I install them.

It looks better black for sure but I would tidy up and clean the overspray. A lot of that stuff you sprayed isn't hard to lift up enough or wrap in plastic.

It shouldn't be that difficult to clean that up a bit

Thanks guys, I will probably try to make it better today. I think I can clean up the over spray, not much really just on the fender and battery.

If you need to clean up overspray on things like metal hoses and the like you can use Goof Off, just be very careful with it on paint you want to keep. it works extremely well and will ruin a car's paint job. They sell Goof Off in a can for about $4 at Walmart.

I had to use some for my car when I got it because the previous owner drove through wet hot black tar and it whipped up onto the car fenders. That was a scary removal job, do it wrong and the car's paint job was ruined as well. I just wiped it with a moistened rag using my finger tip. You'll want rubber gloves also, it burns your skin a little if left on too long.

Get a rag moist and wipe with it rather than applying it onto the paint. That way you can control how much comes off.

Trust me I am a "paint stuff" expert. I have done everything from furniture to guitar bodies for friends.

I finally got my new wheels in, I need to put on the center caps still, but I need smaller lug nuts to clear the caps. Tell me what you think!

what kind of grille should I put on it? I still have the Z24 grille, I get tired of looking at the same grille, I do switch them out every couple of years. As for the rear, I'm probably going to have to grind down some metal off the air bag brackets to get them lower, probably something I won't do until later.

I wanna do the roof black and rest of the car the stock color, but I'm kinda too broke for a paint job. I might just do the $50 paint job since this is my only car and I can't have it down since I do have a full time job. I needed a paint job since 2008, the hood and body kit is still just flat black primer
