Hey guys... Can you help me to identify which T series Garrett turbocharger I have? I have pictures of my turbo and project under my user-name...onebigbalooka. I have been trying to find a wiring harness for a 1986 Sunbird 1.8 liter EFI turbo engine. Also need a pressure-pipe, down-pipe and a spare turbo. Maybe a 7749 ECM. Have to ID the one I already have. :guns:

These are the part numbers on the tag:
8HRO328 P 00-00
10106086
No mention of a T-2 or T-28. This turbo came out of a 1986 Buick Skyhawk. The fresh air intake is 1 5/8" inner diameter, and the fresh air outlet or charge side is 1 7/16" inner diameter. Other than the information stamped on the surface of the fresh air side that u can see in the photo, that's all the info there is.

T25's also got he casting mark "m24" or "m25".

That's definately a t25 Garrett class. They came in Mitsu's with a different housing. It's a little on the small side for a 660, but t25s came in the McLaren Grand AM Turbo.

A friend of mine had a pair on a Nissan 300ZX tt, and they worked good.

Its definitely a T2 turbo, thats the style of the exhaust flange!
The model is a different story.
It says A/R .48 right on the intake snail..... Makes me think it might be a T28 because my T25 says A/R .80 or something like that!

I had a pair of t25's I traded with Six_Shooter. They both were cast with the .48 A/R.

There's a good site to help figure out A/R and Trim. A turbo can still be a T-25 and be .80 (if they ever came with .80 compressors). It can also be a .48. This turbo will most likely choke a 660 in the top-end and maybe even mid range. Is there anything on the exhaust side indicating its A/R? If not measure it with the info provided in the link above. .48 turbine (hot/exhaust) side will make it like an on/off switch, especially on a 660.

Although... TGP's did come with T-25 turbo chargers... Not sure what A/R and trim they were though.

What were they off of though?
I believe the 1 I had was from a 3.1 TGP
