I weighed my rear seats tonight. Non fold down, recovered in tweed (probably similar to stock weight).

Bottom = 10lbs
Back = 13lbs

Surprised me a little....

Honestly, I was just having that discussion with someone. Seriously.

I decided that it wouldnt be that much lighter acutally. Guessing on like 20 ish sq ft of area, even 0.040 aluminum would weigh like 12lbs or so, without fabric.

I think the ticket here is going to be an aluminum wire frame, with some 1" semi-rigid foam, and a cover over that.

the spare tire, lug wrench, and jack are 35 lbs.
