I'm not sure about the rest of the car, but there is a lot of paint on that trunk lid

gonna get some mapping from that feather-edging there buddy
maybe not now but a few days in the sun and it will all show up again
buz that bitch down to metal and do it right !

couldnt have said it any better. no matter how much surfacer u put down on it, its gonna come back on you. Id just take her down with 180 to the metal and then go over ur body work again and then do a shot or 2 of surfacer, block her then throw on some sealer.

As long as you do not have more than 13-15mm of filler, primer, sealer, base/clear it will be perfectly fine

Yeah, it should still be ok. It is only going to be on there untill I find another one that doesn't have so much holes in it. I did a bunch of welding on it so I'm just waiting to find another decklid. So I'm really not to worried about it but like I said, it should be just fine.

ROTFL 13 - 15mm of clear DAMN thats a shit load of clear I'm sorry but I have never herd anyone of having that much clear on there car, that would be roughly 1.5cm (10mm is 1cm) and I wouldn't even want that much after I was done everything to be on my car like I mean filler, primer, base, clear I would hope would be less then 15mm, thats really think for paint and what not.

13-15MM? I think you meant 13 Mil, which is NOT a millimeter. There is NO way that you should have 15mm of material on the car... thats over a 1/2". The first stone you get hit by would break a chunk right of the car... if it didn't all fall off after the first pothole.

Over the years the best way that I do it is, to get you a small stud. I use the welding stud from my Stinger. It's more less a dent puller stud. Cut you out a template from the antannae hole and then get you a piece of metal. I used a chunk from a fender to a sunfire. Outline your template and then I used a plasma cutter. You can also use a cutoff tool but it takes to much time. Then I used my Stinger on the peice that I cut out and I had a stud welded to the center of the metal. Held the stud and centered the metal in the antannae hole and just tacked it. Then I finished welding it and then I used a cutoff tool and cut the stud off and then I grinded it down. Smoothed my welds with a grinder and then filled it up. I know it sounds confusing but it's actually really easy that way. If you want me to I can send you an actual step by step instruction deal tommorrow.
