Is it possible to run the 3rd gen CV shafts into the Izuzu tranny?

The Isuzu trans has a normal length driver side shaft, and a really long pass side shaft. There really is no intermediate shaft. AFAIK, all the 3rd gens use an intermediate shaft of some sort, so using them wouldn't work, since they would be too short.

Umm...The discussion is in my head lol.....So if you can get in their then you can hope in on the action, but this is what i was thinking. I wanted to address the weakness in the CV shafts. And the 2.2L shafts are pretty small. the 3.1L are nice yes but if you want to put power on them they will break eventually too. Now 3rd gen Cavalier and Porsche have the same size CV shafts. and the Porsche CV shafts can withstand 1000 hp no problem due to their construction and material. They are also larger then the 3.1L CV shafts. Ive only ever looked at the drivers side one and it looked the same as the ones for our cars. So I was thinking if the other side would work then that would be something to try. I was bored at work...and I usually have TONS of time to think random shit up in my head lol SO i thought that if i could incorporate Porsche 935 CV joints and axle shafts, their would be no breakage.

Download the axle program I have in the FAQ. It has all the CV specs for easy cross reference. You may find something that works.

Yeah, I wasn't 100% on that. I know there was always a problem with guys swapping from one trans to the other and some sort of bracket they needed to support the axle. Is the Isuzu used in the 3rd gens the MK7?
