Well it's been a long time coming, but I've finally got me a project car to work on in hopes of turning it into a great Z24! It's a 1991 Z24 with 150 000kms on it, which is surprisingly low to me!
Shawn (aka infernoZ24) had a post in the buy/sell about his car he was selling with a bunch of parts. He was here in town so I went to have a look and instantly became the new owner!
I'll be ripping the car down to the frame and blasting any rust and doing all those fun kind of repairs. Don't worry, I'll keep you all posted with pics and the like.
I have an open mind to any suggestions that you would have for a person taking their z24 completely apart. Things like rust proofing, and shaving door handles. I'm already going to be putting a 5 speed in and a 3400. Anything else you fellas can think of? Even the little things like add a bolt here, or make a cut there.
Also, Shawn threw in all the extra parts he had for the car. The dude had enough to make 3 cars. I don't need 3 cars, so I have a ton of stuff for sale. If you need something, and i mean anything, chances are I have it in a box somewhere, so just ask!
On with the pics!

Yea i got the MIG all ready to go, as well as an outdoor sandblaster.
I'd like to take the windows out so I can blast around the openings to make sure there's no rust, but I've never taken a window out before, so it should be intersting!

It definetly needs to be upgraded. Seems to me like the 91 is an inbetween model. Gots some new features they put on 2nd gens, but has some features (more than i'd like) from the 1st gens. Like this weird little computer that sits beside the battery on the fender wall. No idea what it does, and it's encased in what looks like epoxy.

Daytime running light module huh? Is that just a 1991 thing? I don't think I have one on my 92.
