just an FYI, Comp dosen't make a roller cam for the 3.1 also Moroso doesn't make oil pans for them either.
you might want to edit your registery and put actual facts in so people will take you seriously.

your car should be able to run a turbo fine the way it is. as i'm sure you had your engine built for nos. the 2 biggest things when adding boost to a car is the compression ratio and ring gap. if you are running over 9.0 compression ratio i would drop it to about 8.5 to 1. i was talking with rick at nova auto yesterday about my 3100 we decided to keeep the 3100 n/a and get a 3400 built 4 boost give him a call good guy his phone number is nova automotive 902-468-1686 they are over in dartmouth just off windmill rd.

Why do people want to drop the static compression so much?
Dropping the SCR was a way to combat pre-ignition back in the 1960s, over 40 years ago, there have been over 40 years of technological developments made, that doesn't need such a low SCR. Head material, chamber design, port design, cam specs, intake and exhaust design, even the use of EFI has changed the need to drop the SCR.
People have ran well into the double digit boost levels on bone stock 3400s, which are at 9.6:1 SCR.
The guy that runs the engine machine shop that I use has a Turbo Regal, when he rebuilt the engine several years ago, guess what he did with the SCR. He raised the SCR from stock. IIRC he said .5 of a ratio from stock.
Look at newer OEM turbo/supercharged engines, they will be in the 9.x:1 SCR, and these are built with "safe and warrentee friendly specs" in mind.
I know of one member here that is building a high compression (double digit SCR) twin turbo 660.
SCR is just a calculation of the difference of the piston at BDC and TDC, while the engine is not running, as soon as teh engine runs, and that cam is spinning opening and closing those valves, SCR is thrown out the window, and dynamic compression takes over, which is usually quite different than SCR, and in many cases DCR is lower than SCR, until you start to approach the torque peak of the engine and max RPM range of the cam.

right on, I lived in Bridgewater, but moved to Alberta almost two years ago. So, I haven't been around lately..lol. But I remember that car from back when it was yellow. I only ran a 15.2 when I was there, but that was untuned with a cracked intake plenum, and my flywheel came loose about half track...lol. fuck me I had a lot of small issues when I first got that thing running.
