remove the glove box, panel on drivers side, center console and there is about 5 bolts and 1 bold on the steering column that holds the dash in. its really not that bad to do.

One suggestion I have for this is you don't have to take the steering wheel apart and then out with the fancy puller. I just yanked out the whole column. There's 2 or 3 bolts on the column, plus one holding it to the rack. That last bolt is inside the boot at the base of the column inside the car.

I wrestled around with the wheel until I resorted to the column. I'm sure if I had the tool it would have been easier. But if you don't, then just take the colume out with the wheel still on it.

You don't even have to take the column *out* to remove the dash. You can simply unbolt the column from the supports and let it drop down and rest on the front seat. Leaves plenty of clearance to r&r the dash.

to get the steering wheel off, atleast in my ph 2 Z all I had to do was unhook 6 trox bolts behind the horn and presto it was off, but yeah I just dropped the column and then pulled the dash, then I pulled the column out I wasn't planning on putting any of it back in, but you don't have to remove the steering column.
