This is hilarious!
You guys all want a group of like minded owners with similar cars?
THERE WAS ONE! It was called the J-Body Association of Nova Scotia aka JANS.
It lasted for many years and the members had a great time doing cruises and BBQs and a Huge car show every summer, with the original creators feeling turned on they passed the club onto others to run it, but the damage had already been done.
Many of the members worked very hard every year to put on events for other members so that EVERYONE could have a good time, and all they ever asked for in return was a sign of appreciation, as in a pat on the back and a thank you.
But some of the members decided they wanted to rule the world or at least the club and when they didn't get their own way they left it and convinced a lot of others to do the same.
These people wanted the club to be for only great J-Bodies and other makes and models that would be car show worthy so they could get trophies, they didn't care about those that may have been struggling to just keep their cars on the road but had a love for their cars all the same.
Our group started out small
But grew bigger
And Bigger
AND EVEN MORE BIGGER
We had Events at Halloween and Xmas
We did an annual cruise to Moncton every year for the speed sport show
We would Cruise to the Valley for the Annual Pumpkin Run
We held a HUGE car show in Cole Harbour where there was a recorded 89 cars and over 800 visitors to a free/donation to the food bank event.

yeah i know Lorne i met him a few times hes a really nice guy comes down to the tims we all go to.
never really interested me till now because i never knew there was a jans here. why dont you tell us what happened ???

I said all that needs to be said regarding that. I just wont act like there was never a club for J-body Enthusiasts in NS
If you want to know more then ask Lorne or better yet go out to his shop in Mount Uniack and see the work he is doing on his Sunbird GT. And then have a chat with him.

Last I had heard there was a bunch of the core JANS members still interested in creating a new JANS. Lorne was the last Chairman of the club and it was him and the executives that decided that maybe it was time to let things go. He had both mine and Robs (The Other Creator) full support in his decision making.
If you wanted to bring this back to life he would be the one to talk to.
