How would i go about doing a 3500 turbo, Would it be worth it or would a 3400 turbo be better.
If i was to go with 3500, would everything Mount wise and And Electrical be the same as if i was doing a 3400?
any help would be appreciated, Id like to know as much as possible before i got ripping into the car. I have tried searching, but but luck.

3500 turbo would be nice, but you can reach the limits of the tranny already with a 3400 turbo

3500 top end is better, and some had the forged crank. 3500 has oil squirters on pistons 5&6

cost wise you can put a 3400 in your car for cheaper vs the 3500. (stock for stock)

how serious are you about makeing power?
exremely=3500
very=3400

the 3500 you will most likely be using a 3400 TB (you will need a TB adapter for that. all the sensor on the 3400 TB have the same conectors as the 3.1L

you will need a 7x crank trigger wheel also. Wot tech sells them
Isnt there a sticky on this?

Like scott said there reaching the limits of the tranz already with a 3400 turbo so save your self the money and do a 3400 swap and turbo.
Now if you where going all motor then i would say 3500 asap.

Or LX5 TB.... Cheapest way to get to 65mm...

Rodney has a turbo 3500 Z26... Just up to what you want to really do I suppose. Either way traction is going to be a bitch.

theres not many 3500 turbos out there, and I dont know of one thats been dyno'd

I think the point were trying to get at is 3400 turbo is fine. if its not good enough just turn up the boost

I would go with a 3500 if it was a N/A build though
