What have you guys done? I'm thinking about a redesigned storage space and fiber-glassing where the ash tray was for rocker switches.

I started the grinding and Put a layer of bondo down to smooth the bottom. Some sanding next after it dries.

I left mine stock (besides the missing original stereo)and have an ashtray missing still.

I stuffed a foam bead filled football in the hole to block the bright ashtray light printed on advertising by a hockey manufacturer, haven't figured that one out yet. Yeah that is a home made wood box drink holder on the floor. Curse GM for that nonsense lol.

Before anyone asks (probably wouldn;t but I have a chance to babble soooo) that is a Yoda change purse thing, a Pirates of the Carribean skull that blinks with red light eyes when vibrations make it move (looks cool actually), a crucifix with a tiny red rose that belonged to my mother who died in 1996, a Boston Bruins keychain I bought in Boston at a game in 1989 at the old Garden, and dog tags in remembrance of the fallen who gave their lives (or didn't but served) for http://www.wardogs.com which is stamped into them to afford me freedom to do stuff like mess around with my car. My Dad died last month so it probably time to add something that reminds me of him on it as well. Cars are very personal.

I'm fiberglassing a whole new console on my car. from the radio back to the armrest. started in the beginning of Jan, still not 1/2 done, sucks not having a shop to work in, esp during the bipolar winter of dayton! Maybe i'll get it done some day. I wanted a new one initially to have cup holders built in the the console instead of coming out of the dash, and also to put a flip out DVD player on the bottom, and the AC controls on top so the screen wouldn't be hitting the vents. Someone stole my old radio and broke the plastic beam that the a/c controls and radio screw into so i really want to get this done soon, just don't have good enough weather to complete it yet.
