I started some of my projects for the car a couple weeks ago so far i have shaved the doors and swapped a power sunroof from a 2001 Impala I just got the switch in place and wired.

well thats one way to put a sunroof in so it wont leak lol. lots of work but nice craftsmanship.

Nice work. I'm thinking about shaving my license plate box and relocating the plate on the bumper. I can't weld so I have to take it to someone to do it. Anyway, nice skills.

That is exactly how I put a 3rd gen sunroof in my 2nd gen. Now I just need to make a head liner lol

Thanks guys ya it took quite a bit of work but more time in getting the roof straight than putting the thing in and wiring it. I'm almost done the roof just a few more layers of filler then on to the rest of the body work and other things. What car is that roof out of benz? as for the head liner i have no idea what i'm going to do yet the motor sits pretty low towards the window frame so

I know I saw someone on here that did a 3rd gen sunroof like I did and they used the factor 3rd gen headliner. It looked ok but there were some small gaps at the pillars where the headliner didnt go for enough down. If your sunroof has about the same dimensions, you can probably just reshape and fiberglass a 3rg one to fit your. It would be a lot easier then making a new one.
