DO NOT hook the switch up to a power source! You are making the cooling fan come on by grounding the relay, not by providing direct power to the fan. If you hook the switch up to the battery, you will fry the relay!

Is this what you did?

Well maybe kinda. For your stereo you have a constant (battery) and ign (key on) wire. I hooked it up to the ign wire so the switch will only work when the car is on.

All you have to do is hook up the wire that you tapped into the green and white fan wire to one side of the switch and then ground the other terminal of the switch.

ok I found out my problem I misread it the first time. I just have to disconnect the hot wire going to the switch.... Thanks for teaching me to read brad. So why would it cause the battery to go dead even with the switch off and the key off??? With the key off it should get any juice at alll

No problem.

I dont know how that could have caused the battery to go dead. Lets just hope that solves the problem.
