Am at the drag strip now. Started running at 14.9, bunch of 14.8s, couple 15.0s. Then I decided to learn to drive an went to a 14.826, 14.785, then a 14.55, a pair of 14.6s. And I've called it a day before elminations. My power is dropping right around 5500 rpm....it needs a tune and the new exhaust!!!!!!

i bet most of that is those manifolds, it'll feel like a whole new car with the 3500 manifolds on it.

nice times though, you should be able to get into the 13's with the new exhaust and tune.

Guy said there were a lot of passes on them, but they are 14's. Could be the driver too..

I tried to feather the gas in the upper RPMS but it was spinning the shit out of them launching at 3500 RPM, but they hooked a lot smoother and i didnt have ANY torque steer.

How do you guys launch with slicks if I may ask?

And my local track sucks for the first 60. No rubber really on it.

Out of 15 Runs i went up against people, only one had a 2.0, and 2 of them were 2.1, the rest were above 2.2. See the pattern here?

i tried dumping the clutch at 4K but just spun the slicks too, holding at 2500 and easing into it seems to work best for me.. i usually get 1.9's on slicks.

nice the mph shows you should be able to get past mid 14's but im sure a tune and exhaust will do even better.

Im running a 3400 tune and 2.8 log manifolds.

That's killing my top end bro - losing power at 5500...i should be good till 6000 at least and id be down a lot lower...

Some of it is my driving lol. I need to learn to launch better...

you'd be surprised at how much you can pick up in the 1/4 by working on how fast you shift.. I always thought i was shifting fast enough till i rode with Moon.. i thought he was going to rip the shifter off the floor.

I went from a 13.7 to a 13.08 after the mods to the shifter assembly and developing a total disregard for my shift cables.
