lol, thats great. And I agree people should get used to metric everywhere. Most companies now all design new products in metric.

oh lets see... everyone I've shown a metric bolt to at any autoparts store...people at "regular" hardware stores ect..

its like.. their eyes pop open, the look they give you and tone of voice changes when they find out its metric

I just find it funny that the car being a 94, and for that matter ones years before used these bolts, like its still something rare or "weird"

my standard sockets are rarely used its usually always metric anyway, so I dont get what the deal is

Oddly, I get really irritated if I have to dig out a "standard" size socket for a bolt. Cars I deal with at work are *mostly* Metric, but occasionally I get a Dodge or something that has both metric AND American Standard size bolts in it. That's really frustrating, and overly time-consuming.

My most used set is my metric (I've actually worn out multiple 10mm sockets), and I really hate trying to think my way through what size is next (up or down) on a "standard" set.

I was never good with fractions...

FTW!!

Imperial sizes are not that difficult to "figure out". I hardly ever use my imperial tools, but I have them to make sure that I can complete the jobs I work on.

I'm the other way around.
Holy Fuck! It's SAE!
or
Holy Fuck! It's not a 7mm, 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 15mm, or 18mm. It's SAE! Then I end up with a stripped bolt/nut.
This is, of course, when working on a North American model GM car.

thats what i'm wondering. I've got a set of standard wrenches and sockets at work and I RARELY have to use them. All cars made today have 99% metric bolts in them.
