1991 3.1 Auto - Shifting problems, Late shifts, Cannot manua

My car is having problems shifting. It has a really hard time up shifting, and really delayed downshifting. I have to rev up to about 4-5k before it shifts from 1st to 2nd, and the same when going from 2nd to 3rd. It seems to get slightly better as the car warms up, but that might just be random coincidence. Any suggestions as to where to start looking would be great.

Also, i cannot manually select any gears.

My 91 did that when I had a vacuum leak. Did you check your fluid level?
