There was never a 35mm bar on any 2nd gen, so if you got one, you should play the lottery
Where and how did you measure it? The best place is in the center of it, between the subframes. _________________

well, i started by measuring near the end link, and i was like....wtf? so i went under it and measered between the subframes,a nd then i was like....wtf some more. i have no clue. But if it's really 35 mm then woo. did any cars get a 35mm that would switch to a j-body? i know people talk about FE7 bars......how big are those? maybe a different one than stock got put on at some point? _________________

How are you measuring it? Are you using a caliper? _________________

Not sure why you would want an even bigger front bar. A bigger rear bar would be more beneficial.
I have been contemplating going to a smaller front bar than my 28mm addco.
Or perhaps making a custom adjustable rear and/or front bars.
Going to just a bigger front bar without increasing the rear will cause the car to push more than it already does.

i know it isn't the most accurate way, but since i don't have any really good measuring tools, i sanded it a bit to get any loose rust off, and tightened an adjustable wrench on it, then measured across that opening with a really nice(and accurate) stainless steel ruler i have. it always came out to 35mm. once i get it up on a lift here at school i'm gonna use a caliper but i don't really know. 5-7mm is a big difference, my bar is definately more than 28 or 30mm. _________________

The FE7 is only 33 IIRC. And its not a direct bolt in AFAIK. It needs some additional brackets on the struts or something. I've been trying to find a pic of it for a while now, but to no avail.
Using an adjustable wrench is a good way to do it. You're going to have it just as accurate as calipers if you're using a steel scale.
I'm with juiced about bar size. Once you get up to the 30mm bar, you've pretty much nuetralized the built in understeer, and would only be adding more.
I don't know what to tell you. Thats weird. And I think you should play the lottery now _________________

FE7 Explained here you go....
The FE7 bar mounts directly to the steering knuckle on the 90-91 Beretta GTZ, and Beretta Indy. The 92-93 Beretta GTZ, W26 bolt tirectly to the strut. This is a direct acting swaybar, and IMHO is better then the Fe3 30 mm swaybar. This Swaybar is ON my cavalier, no mods no nothing, it just bolted right in. Now I had to be creative with my 2.2 exhaust, but its just temporary as my 3400 w/ headers needs to be swapped in. As an autocrosser and drag racer, I prefer the lighter more agile Fe7 bar. I previously owned a 90 Beretta GT with the Fe3 suspension and 30mm swaybar, and my 90 GTZ far out handled it.
I sell a polyurethane bushing kit for this, Ive got 3 sets ready to go if anyone is interested.
Now for teh pics.
You can see the 90-91 bracket bolting to the steering knuckle
You can see the tab welded on the Strut, this is where the Fe7 bar mounts on the 92+ GTZ's. This happens to be my custom valved Bilsteins from Manatacrap..
