Well, im looking for a replacement for the 94. since im almost certain it's totalled. and im not getting another J.
Heres some of my options.
Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4wd I6. About how many miles can be expected out of one of those.
Jeep wrangler. I know these go forever.
Found a comanche in good shape too.
Or my personal favorite,
a 94 Silverado 4wd ext cab stepside Z71.
Any input would be welcome. Im looking for a vehicle that has plenty of room. being that im 6'4". And ive always wanted a truck. something 4wd. _________________

Any Jeep product with the 4.0 I6 is practically indestructable.(Engine wise anyway)
Stay away from any Jeep with a Carb.
Check that the Transfer Case has been maintained(especially on the Cherokee/Grand Cherokees) but other then that is just basic stuff.
If you go start looking at Wranglers theres a few threads where I mentioned common rust probelms/maintainence probelms(I dont recall all of what I said otherwise I would just retype it.)
Basically any Jeep info applies to all Models up to about 1997ish, then theres also the model specific probelms. _________________

V6 wasnt an option until the 07 JK.(unless you count the liberty)
The majority of Jeep products are I6. Oh and if you come across a Jeep with the 2.8 GM V6 in it....run
Run as far and as fast as you can. _________________

I'd go with the Z71 because you can haul your buddies around, still have enough room in the bed to haul stuff and even tow a trailer.
If you really want to go offroading/muddin', go with the Wrangler. _________________

dude robs right ....i have a 93 grand cherokee limited with the 4.0L and the 42RE trans, 242 select-trac transfer case, its got 360k on it and still runs like new , just keep up with the maintence....i just need new tires, a tie rod and a ball joint and the chrylser mechanic said its like new inside and out ...gonna warn you, such bulletproof reliability comes with a price, i get average of 15 mpg in the city with the 4.0L straight 6 ..and thats babying it !! ....babying it on the highway 19 mpg average, gas goes fast in these bad boys but they have the areodynamics of a brick! lol but you cant go wrong with a jeep of any sort, i would be driving a warangler but i have luxury out the ass, heated seats, all power options, sunroof, and i pay 200 a month on insurnace, 100 bucks less a month then the 91 Z, and my roomate has a wrangler, its loud, noisy, bumpy, basically the exct opposite of what my grand cherokee limited is and he pays just under 500 a month for it ...its a 95 wrangler , and thats the cheapeast ontario rate he could find....
i still love my grand cherokee limitied
do it up and if you wanna talk jeeps, add me to msn or something, my email is moparman_28@msn.com
good luck dude ...l8r _________________
