I just used it today, and was gonna post on your new car post saying you might wanna give it a shot...

I use it occasionally, and I've always noticed a difference. Some people call it snake oil..i guess some people get mixed results. I did it on a pos 01 ford taurus today, and after the 10 minute smoke cloud, I noticed the car idled about 300rpms lower, and after plug and wire change, idled about 600 rpms lower.

I guess it really depends on how bad off the car is.. I did it on my friends ford explorer, the thing barely smoked, and I didn't notice a difference at all. I guess for the price, i'd give it a shot.

its definately a toss up. depends on how well the car was maintained.

Its worked wonders on some cars ive use it on, though.

Im afraid to use it on mine because I think all the carbon and junk is holding the motor together XD

My buddy used it on his jeep. It made a noticeable difference

Did you guys just pour it in the gas, or in the oil too? I was thinking of picking up a quart to dump in the gas tank. I think it's about 10 bucks right now at the local Advance Auto. All I know is mine idles like shit right now, and changing the IAC did absolutely nothing to help.

I've never used it the gas tank, I normally use the lucas stuff for injector cleaner/pump lubricant. I'd run it in through a vacuum line, one that goes into the TB or close to it (just don't run it past a MAF sensor), to clean out the carbon deposits in the intake manifold, valves, and combustion chamber. Then hit the throttle plate with some carb cleaner and wipe it down but if shit is really bad you have to pull the valves out and clean them by hand

I have used it in the oil, bought a can and put half of it in the oil of the car I was driving, then drove 5 minutes home and changed the oil. Helps to break down some of the sludge a bit for a better oil change but I wouldn't just drive all the time with it in the oil

I put 1/3 of the bottle into the vaccuum.... 1/3 in the gas tank and 1/3 in the oil ...CHANGE THE OIL AFTER!!!!!

it made a considerable difference... and this was on a 20 yr old cav with over 130,000km on it.

Probably has some adverse affects on the oil, since its more of a cleaning agent than a viscosity agent.
I'd change the oil/filter asap.
I used some of this in my car last year because my dad had some laying around, didn't notice much, if anything.
but i change my fluids religiously and use STP fuel system cleaner every oil change.
My fluids usually come out the color they go in, but it sounds like you know what you are doing, so you'll be fine after new oil I think.

I'll probably put 1/2 in the gas tank, and the other half in the vacuum line then. i think my valves are coated up, and allowing some blow back. it doesn't seem to have the power of my previous Z, and i noticed the K&N looks like it has some oil (engine, not filter oil) on it, seems a little black. This is in addition to the idling problem, which I think may be related to the valves. Of course, I know it probably needs some real work done on it, but I'm trying to keep it alive until I can buy a 3400 and a new clutch to handle it.

So I am thinking of doing this, do I put 1/3 in the PCV valve in front of the engine( vacuum). I have a breather there. And the rest in the oil and gas?

Seafoam ROCKS. I used it in my fuel tank, crankcase, and vacuum line on my 07 Cobalt. It was a night and day difference with the way the car ran.

Watch your PCV system, though. After I did this my PCV hoses were covered in oil, and it got all over my supercharger's internals and intake manifold/intercooler laminova cores. Sad

So which vacuum line should I drop it in?

One that goes to all 6 cylinders? Lol. I've been out of the 2nd gen Z game for a few years so I am not quite sure on that one.
