Should'nt need a how-to to remove a/c

You can either just bypass the a/c compressor with a smaller belt or you can just take out the compressor with the lines and condenser. if you take out the lines, you'll need to make a cover plate where it goes into the car so you dont get water going in there

Thanks man.And the reason why i want to remove a/c in case anyone is wondering is because it weighs enough And i've never even looked at an a/c system before so i have no idea how to remove it.It probably sounds like a simple task and probably is but like i said ive never done this before.

And so far performance wise for the car i've found 28lbs fuel injectors and ls1 valve springs I cant wait to get this car and start the fun!

Hey Brad,

Too bad you couldn't buy back your old Z from the insurance company. At least you could transfer over quite a few parts and sell the rest that don't fit to finance your new build. Good luck with it though.

Yah that wouldve been awsome if i could transfer alot of my stuff except almost everything got wrecked or stolen. And i didnt have a chance to even take anything.Only thing i have left from that car is my kenwood excelon deck Sad ..Only thing i can do is start over from scratch. So far for the new z i have a shift knob! ..And im buying the injectors and ls1 springs.

But i honestly think this time around im going to work on the engine and exterior before major interior and sound system components come into mind.Well except for a pillar pod,and glow gauges...oh and installing my kenwood deck

If i run accross some cheap things i need then i will buy them and what not

If your a/c still works, don't remove it. The amount of performace gain you'll get is slim and isn't worth the comfort of A/C. When A/C isn't turned on, the compressor is just a pulley.
