I Bought the car for $2,300 on 9/28/05 in Little Ferry, New Jersey with 81k on the odometer.
When my '89 Z fell victim to misfortune (rusted gas tank/lines, exhaust, etc), it broke my heart. I was so attached to my Z that I couldn't settle for anything but another Z to replace it. I found this car on Autotrader.com. It was listed by a dealership down in New Jersey. I was so determined to get it that I called out of work the next day, asked to borrow some money from a relative, and asked a friend to travel by train to get it - all within the same night! We traveled by train from New London, CT to New York City; then took a cab over the border to Little Ferry, NJ close by. When I saw it, I wanted it; and the rest is history...
The car only had one previous, registered, owner from when it was bought straight off the lot. The original owner had apparently taken very good care of it. Apparently, however, he/she traded this beauty in for credit on a new car. The car was then auctioned off by the dealership and bought by the dealer I made the tranaction with.
The car is very clean in and out with NO RUST. Very low miles! Bought the car with 81K! Most of all, a true pleasure to drive!
Ever since I bought it, I've been looking for ways to make this car more appealing and enjoyable to drive. I even put the exhaust on the car before it was even registered!
Thanks to everyone who voted for my car as the COTM June, 2007! :)
