I call my car the SUNVALIER because it is a Sunbird, but it looks like a Cavalier.

July 2008

Well after close to 8 months of talking about it I finally swapped it back to 5spd. I had help from my daughter, 93-2.2 and Brinky, many many thanks for your help guys.

I also received and installed my 6000K HID... damn they're bright :)

June 2008

Thus far this month I have begun the process of painting my car... step 1) primer
I have also had an H2 on demand system installed, need to fine tune it before I can state any factual fuel savings. I must give credit where credit is due... a fellow member (that will remain nameless for the time being) is responsible for this product... more info as info comes available.

April 2008

This was a very good month, and an excellent beggining to summer. I had worked out some favorable trades, which netted me with the gagt leather seats, excellent rims as well as updating my car audio. Again a big thanks to all involved.

Oct 28/07

My daughter Breanne and I just completed the 5spd to auto swap on 10/26/07. Now I'm just ironing out the problems associated with this type of swap.
Keeping all the 5spd equipment, because I will be swapping it back at some point in the future.

Oct/07

I am about to swap my 5spd back to 3spd auto for a job. More info coming up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

April/07

- swapped out the tired 2.8 for a, donated, peppier 3.1.
- replaced the original 5sp for a newer rebuilt 5sp. I will rebuild the original tranny and install an lsd.
- the old subframe was clunking because of a rust hole under the sway bar bushing. I replaced the entire subframe and all bushings.

And again a big Thank You to duro for all his help.

May 11/2006

This is the newest and much needed evolution to my ride. The Z was falling apart... rust ate away at the rockers and, after I pulled the engine, the fire wall was breaking through. I also found the that the floor boards were developing some holes big enough to put my hand through. Oh yea... the fact that the whole front end was tearing away from the rest of the car was a just scary.

My 90 'bird is almost rust free, the rear of the rockers have a small amount of rust. This is ok though, just needs a bit of grinding and possibly a patch, then this car will be rust free!

Thank you duro for all your help.
