Hey guys, I am getting a code 43. I am also getting a 32 but that is because my EGR is blocked off and I have always gotten it. What are the usual things to check. Obviously the knock sensor, but is there anything else that can cause the 43? Would lots of detonation cause a 43? Pretty sure I don't have any that I can hear anyways, and plugs looks good, no specs. Sometimes the car seems to really lay down, and a lack of timming could be the cause, usually when the Check Engine light is on. When the car is warming up zero problems.

Yeah, you need a new knock sensor.

Same thing happened to me.

When you get code 43, your car gets s.l.o.w. You're right, cause of the lack of timing. You lose a full 15* of timing if your knock sensor is fawked.

Ya sorry about that, but I did do search. I searched for code and 43 came up with nothing.

I hate noobs who ask the same question over and over without searching as much as the next guy

Code 43 is not knock sensor related what so ever... those are code 38 or 39. 43 is an est problem
