Maybe thats just the price for the frond bumper

The reason that is, is because on 3rd gens, they are mass produced. For second gens, there isn't great demand. So ofcourse they have to custom make, and cost alot more. Why do u think parts for second gens are so expensive? Its all about supply and demand. Both are low for second gens.

300 is front alone plus totally different companies making these kits

the 2nd gen kit is basically custom made for each order. that is the reason for the price. i think part of the reason why it cost so much is that no one will buy it cuz the front end is way to box for our body style.

Actually, the drift isn't all that boxy. The front is just flat. The only thing that i don't like on it is the hole in the side skirt. You can't really do anything with that. Was hopin to get some grille in there but not sure if i can. And the second gen kits are made for order yes. And there hasn't even been 25 sales of this kit. Now look at third gens... i see alot of drifts on the internet. Thers atleast 3 or 4 where i go to college. But anything for a second gen as far as aftermarket is going to be expensive.

ive found some straight up car sites with 3rd gen kits for as low as $550

yea but it looks nice on 2 gen!, what do you all think the best looking kit on the second gen is?

it's a tossup between the 3 big names. but personally i'd pick the FX kit just so i wouldn't have to change my sideskirts. (and i'd get to talk to Jess ). the Onderground just looks too flimsy in the back and the Diza looks like the piece under the exhaust cutout it a little flimsy, but it's also fiberglass so it's probably stronger than i think.

if they only made the kits out of the same poly that the stock ones were i'd buy one in a heart beat

I like all of them personally. I got the drift because not alot of people have it at the time. FX is all over this site so i wanted to be dif.

the front bumper for the drift kit just turns me off, i love the rest of the car everything else seems to flow really good. Its just that front bumper is so flat on the side and i dont think it matches at all.

The rear is actually quite sturdy as it most of the rest of the kit. The damn sideskirts are bulletproof as far as I am concerned, they had a fucking deer bounce of the driverside and all it did was scratch it.

I don't think the kit looks that bad. My dad didn't like it at all in the pics. But now that we are working on it he is likeing it. I like the front bumper.. i like how it opens in the front. And the angles on the side. It would be better if the mouth of it curved it to give it some form. But i think its great, other than putting it on..... its a great kit. And if you come to the bash u will see both of us... so theres your chance to see it with your own . And the diza kit is really nice too. Only reason i didn't get it is because of the probs people said that they had, and that other cavys already had it. But now i notice all kits are like that damnit! So i am stickin with gettin the diza hood.
