Did a quick search here and didnt find anything. I was wondering if there is a way to simply adjust how much slack there is in my ebrake on my 1998 Cavalier. the handle is getting to the point where its all the way up, and i know in past cars there has always just been alittle nut under the car near the rear that i just tightened and it did the job. I've looked before and never found the same set up, is it different? thanks.

Ya, the E brake on 3rd gens are supposed to be "self adjusting". Your supposed to fully apply and release the E brake lever 4-6 times to self adjust.

check your rear brakes, my friends sunfire did this to the point where pulling the handle all the way up didnt apply the ebrake, turns out she needed rear shoes
exactly. also your rear brakes may need to be adjusted.
