Exhaust manifold gasket replacement

Hello. I have a 1989 Z24 with the 2.8. When I start the engine I see small puffs of smoke coming from the front passenger side exhaust manifold gasket area. I looked up some videos on YouTube about exhaust leaks and mine is making the same weird noise. My question is if anyone has replaced their exhaust manifold gaskets and if there are any helpful tricks to get the job done? I have replaced gaskets on a 94 2.2 but that is a very different engine from the 2.8. Thanks in advance for your time. We gotta do everything we can to keep these beautiful cars on the road. My first car was a Cavalier and I'm so thankful that I was able to own another one.
