Could be possible, the 79-85 mustang gt's sucked, stock 87-present mustang gt's eat stock z's for lunch as long as the driver has any sort of a clue what he is doing. I'm guessing if he did it was probably against a 79-86
SO the car is actually equipped with a 2.8, but because he has an aftermarket or at least different exhaust and "stuff" you call it a 3.1, even though the stroke is still a 2.99" stroke and 3.503" bore (x6) making it a 2.8, what would happen if he had the power of a 5.0L, would you say "my friend with an '88 Z24 with a 5.0L"?xtremecavalier29 said:well, he has a 2.8, but with his exhaust system and stuff, it's up to a stick 3.1L..
