When i set up my system in my car i want to make it so if i fold down my back seat you can see the subs. but there are metal bars behind the back seat in my car. would it harm anything if i remove them? other than the seat saggin back? but if the seats sag back that doesnt matter cuz i dont sit back there :D and i hardly ever have people in the back seat. also how many subs do yu think is a good number to have in a cav? and what size do you think works best?

How many subs and the size of the subs depends on you and the music you listen to. If you listen to primarily rock, 10's may be the best way to go. If you listen to rap or want more lows, then go with 12's. Personally, I listen to rock, but like the way a 12 hits. It's all personal preference.

As far as the bar, I have no clue. It doesn't make sense that fold down seats would have that bar behind them...or are they not supposed to be fold down?
they can fold down, and i belive they are ment to. but im not sure. so 10's would be better if i listen to rock mostly. how many do you think is a good number?

Get 12's they will play rock just as well as 10's will PLUS you get better low end frequency response. Get 12's. I listen to REAL punk, rock, ska, techno and it all sounds bitchin with my Boston Acoustic Pro 12's.
I agree with Black94. But there will always be someone to argue that a 10 is better for rock.

If space is an issue, run with a single 12. But if you don't need a lot of trunk space, put 2 in.
The metal bracing is there to keep the body flexing down. Doesnt matter if its a 10 inch or a 12 inch, it depends on the design of the driver and how you use it and how the encloser is built. There are alot of 10's that will out perform 12's. Ive even heard 8's out preform both 10's and 12's simply because of the driver design and proper box size.
would my car be harmed if i cut out he bars behind the seat? becuse i want to be able to fold the seat down and see the subs
get 1 15 inch that can handle a shit load of power and buy an amp that will push alot
Facing you sub backwards makes it like 10x louder, i wouldnt recommend facing it forward.
